Jack Bert, MD.

Dr. Bert has published over 72 articles on these subjects and 25 book chapters. He has presented over 300 lectures nationally and internationally regarding these subjects.

Dr. Bert has taught multiple academic course for the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons and for the 4,200 member Arthroscopy Association of North America where he previously served as President.

He is a Master Instructor of arthroscopy of the knee and teaches laboratory courses on surgical techniques for knee injuries and diseases at the Orthopedic Learning Center for the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons in Chicago where he previously served on its Board of Directors.

Dr. Bert is an Adjunct Clinical Professor at the University of Minnesota School of Medicine and lectures on the treatment of osteoarthritis of the knee over 20 times/year. He has given grand rounds at Yale University, Loyola University, the University of Connecticut, Emory University, Rush University,Tulane University, Temple University, and the University of Colorado. Internationally, he has spoken at the University of Western Australia, the University of India in Mumbai, Beijing University in China, the University of Thailand in Bangkok, the University of Italy in Milan and Bologna, Cuba University in Havana, the University of Hamburg in Germany, the Spanish Orthopedic Society in Barcelona, the Chilean Orthopedic Society in La Serena, the Peruvian Orthopedic Society in Lima, the South African Orthopedic Society in Capetown, and the University of Austria in Vienna.

He serves on the Board of Directors of the retired NFL Player’s Association and is a consultant to multiple orthopedic companies. Dr. Bert has been named as a Top Doctor by the International Association of Orthopedic Surgeons in 2012, 2013, 2015, and 2016. He is a member of multiple orthopedic societies and is a section editor of Orthopedics today.

He also serves as a peer reviewer for several orthopedic journals and is a consultant to multiple orthopedic companies. Dr. Bert founded the Cartilage Restoration Center of Minnesota in 2011 and continues to practice in Woodbury, Minnesota

Sam Moen

Sam is a recognized leader and published author on innovative healthcare solutions.  He partners with organizations to optimize their healthcare operations. He specializes in change management, innovation, solution design, profitability, clinical operations, revenue cycle and efficiency. Sam is best known for building solutions with clients to optimize healthcare operations for employers, health systems, and payers.  He has built and taken to market several innovative solutions for some of the nation's largest healthcare stakeholders. He has worked with over 50+ organizations such as Stanford Health Care, Intermountain Health System, Ascension, United Health Care, Optum, Twin Cities Orthopedics, Dignity Health and many more reducing healthcare’s overall expense on the economy and its citizens while driving solutions for business success.

He currently leads the industries first direct multi-specialty care company's operations.  He engages with organizations to reduce their overall healthcare costs by getting employees to the expert immediately.  He uses multiple strategies improving the employee experience and ultimately saving healthcare expenses. Making healthcare a more efficient operation and experience so organizations can achieve their financial and operational goals.  He brings tools such as evidence-based medicine, bundled payments, disintermediation and immediate care & treatment solutions. He has worked in the specialty service area of Orthopedics (musculoskeletal), Workers Compensation Injury, Gastrointestinal, OB/Maternity, ENT, while continuing to add additional services.  

Sam graduated from the University of St. Thomas with a focus on Financial Management.  He loves spend time with his family and friends. He enjoys the process of learning whether it be downhill skiing, reading, coffee, traveling, golfing, meditation, the body’s production of energy and somehow most conversation turns back to the family business of healthcare.

Executive Vice President, Enterprise Strategic Solutions 

R. John Welsh, Ph.D

John is a recognized thought leader in the area of organizational performance readiness, especially in the areas of healthcare and retail. He drives initiatives that improve business processes, revenue, learning and systems in measurable and sustainable ways by increasing human capital, innovation, time-to-market and profitability. As an accomplished senior leader, coach, innovator, researcher and adjunct faculty member, John is best known for leading complex organizations through periods of change. He has an extensive background in executing multi-million dollar performance engagement solutions for global organizations such as Apple, Anthem, Essilor, FedEx, HSBC, HealthPartners, Hilton Hotels and Motorola, that enhanced the engagement and effectiveness of their human capital.

John graduated from Saint John’s University with a degree in accounting, and completed two Master’s degrees at the University of St. Thomas in Business and International Management.
He also holds Ph.D. in Organizational Leadership from Capella University and is an adjunct college professor, where he teaches Healthcare Informatics, Organizational Research Methods and Qualitative and Quantitative Research Methods at the doctoral level. He has also designed curriculum at the doctoral level for several leading universities in Creativity and Innovation and Qualitative Research Methods.

He is currently and engaged in creating solutions to complex problems in several industries including healthcare and retail.  He enjoys finding new ways to truly engage patients, employers, consumers, and organizations, while assisting in restoring stability to the financial goals, helping clients see that higher quality, greater operational efficiency, and improved financial sustainability are possible as they adapt to the rapidly changing healthcare and retail environments. He helps organizations execute on delivering cost effective solutions focused on improving organizational and individual performance to meet the specific needs of their clients where excellent frontline performance is critical.

John enjoys spending time at home and traveling with his wife and their three adult children. He keeps a full schedule visiting clients, officiating high school and college football, golfing, and deepening his understanding of today’s financial healthcare and retail challenges, human capital investment and the secrets of top performers across various disciplines.
